Our User Centred Design (UCD) Workshops' participants included 5 pregnant adolescent women, 3 postpartum adolescent women, 2 caregivers, 2 adolescent fathers and 2 youth leaders.

Stacy
Wambui
Stacy is a 19 year old single mother to a one year old baby girl. She likes to sing, and describes herself as a cool and reserved person. She does casual jobs to support her baby and mother, but hopes to get a better change in life and be happy. Her expectations for HAT are to bring on board the men responsible for the pregnancies.
Fidelis Wanjiku
Fidelis is a 20 year old mother to a 2 year old baby boy. She likes to cook and play with her son. She describes herself as a kindhearted, loving person who is hardworking and a dream girl. In the future she aspires to be a successful business woman who is admired by many people. Her expectations for HAT are to help the participants reach their dreams for their future for a better tomorrow.

Susan is a 19 year old mother who loves to cook, eat, read novels, and listen to music. She describes herself as an optimistic person who has accepted her situation of being an adolescent mother. In the future she would like to own her own beauty salon and parlour, as well as becoming a mentor and role model for other girls in similar situations.

Rozalia is 19 years old and pregnant. She likes listening to music and learning new things. She describes herself as a determined person with self-respect. She wishes to run a business in the future. She expects to learn more about herself and others through the HAT process.

Agnes is a 19 year old mother to one child. She calls herself a people person who sets goals to achieve greatness and do better. She hopes to own a movie shop one day. She expects HAT to assist adolescents to accept who they are, and understand that a mistake made once is a lesson for life.
Margaret Loveine Achesa
19 year old Margaret likes cosmetology, music, and novels. She describes herself as a determined, ambitious, self-driven lady of substance. In the future she would like to open up a business and be her own boss. She hopes to be empowered and mentored through HAT, working together to achieve the goals of pregnant teenagers.

Victor is a 21 year old, single father to a two year old baby girl. His child is being raised by his mother. Victor loves playing and watching football. He describes himself to be a simple, honest, and humble dad. He dreams of being a successful businessman who is able to help the needy. His expectations of HAT are to become empowered and reach out to other single fathers.

Aphline is a 24 year old mother to three children. She loves hairdressing and aspires to open a big beauty salon one day. She wants HAT to be a space where everyone is free, loved, appreciated, and supported in some way.

Kiarie
Kevin is a 22 year old who is expecting a child soon. He likes to hiking and watching movies. In the future he hopes to have a good home and to support his family.
Brian

Brian is a 22 year old father whose partner is 8 months pregnant. He enjoys playing football and reading novels. In the future, he would like to go to college to learn a skill and support his family. He hopes HAT can educate him on the knowledge and skills required to raise a child, and help him cope with stress.
Evelyn

Evelyn is a 43 year old caregiver to 3 children. She sells vegetables and enjoys talking, going out with teens, and environmental clean-ups. She describes herself as a humble mother with a great interest in girl-child welfare. She would like to partner with an NGO, take care of teen mothers, and mentoring them about life.

Grace is a 35 year old caregiver to an adolescent mother, and a mother of 3. She likes travelling, and describes herself as an honest person. She would like to one day have her own business. She expects HAT to help her and others to become independent.
